Old Delhi : Enroute see India Gate, a majestic structure, 42 M high is set at the
end of Rajpath. It was designed & built in the memory of 90,000
soldiers, who died in the memory of World War I & Rashtrapati
Bhawan (President House).
Raj Ghat :
a site of Mahatma Gandhi cremation.
Red Fort : Red
sandstone battlements give this imperial citadel its name, “Lal” means
Red” & Quila means “Fort”. Commissioned by Shah Jahan in 1639 it took
nine years to build and was the seat of Mughal Emperor till 1857.
Chandni Chowk :
The shopping centre of Old Delhi, has preserved the traditional
workmanship that makes Delhi famous. Here silver & goldsmith
exquisitely indicate jewellery to a glowing splendor.

for a tour of New Delhi visiting the Humanyun’s Tomb, Lotus Temple
& The Qutub Minar.
Humanyun's Tomb :
It is the first of the finest examples of a garden lawns, which was
later perfected in Taj Mahal.
Lotus Temple
: It is a very
recent architectural marvel of Bahai Faith. It is made of
marble, cement dolomite & sand. Open to all faiths and an ideal place
for meditation.
Qutub Minar :
In 1199, Qutubdin laid its foundation, which is still one of the
Delhi’s landmark. He meant it to be both a symbol of victory and a
minaret for the adjoining mosque. It is still the tallest tower in
India.

Emporiums. Visit Janpath with Connaught Place. Back to hotel in the
